About Kenya Evangelical Mission (KEM)

Rooted in Faith. Growing in Love. Serving with Purpose.

Our Story

Kenya Evangelical Mission (KEM) was founded in 1988 by Hoyt and Lois Osborne, who were called by God to share the message of Christ in Kenya. What began as a small ministry has grown into a network of churches, schools, and outreach efforts transforming lives across the country.

For over three decades, the mission has stood as a living testimony of what God can do through obedience, prayer, and a heart for people. KEM continues to serve faithfully, bringing spiritual and practical hope to individuals, families, and communities.

Our Vision

To see lives transformed by the love of Christ, communities empowered by the truth of the Gospel, and the next generation raised in faith and purpose.

Our Mission

To make Christ known, disciple believers, and serve communities through churches, schools, and outreach grounded in Scripture and love.

Our Leadership

While Hoyt Osborne has gone to be with the Lord, the mission continues under faithful local leadership and supporters who carry his vision forward with the same commitment and passion. Our team includes pastors, teachers, youth leaders, and outreach coordinators dedicated to seeing the Gospel flourish in Kenya.
